6U-BB (CoEd Baseball - Coach Pitch)

For 5 and 6yr olds who have played before or one's looking for more challenge over T-Ball.

10-11 players per team

Coach Pitch Only / No Tee.

Field Configuration - Coach Pitches from 22ft and Bases are set at 60ft.

Co-Ed Division Utilizing Baseball equipment.

10 Games (Weather Permitting)

8U-BB (Baseball - Coach Pitch) - Formerly our Machine Pitch Division

League age 7 and 8yr olds - (A league age 6yr old or 9yr old may be permitted by league approval, must come to evaluations)

This division was our machine pitch division and we are converting this division to Coach Pitch Only to match up with travel programs and to allow players to continue to learn the natural hitting fundamentals by reading a baseball from a pitchers hand. We believe this change will better prepare the players for the next level of Kid Pitch.

Field Configuration - Coaches can pitch from distances between 32 and 46ft and Bases are set at 60ft.

10-12 players per team.

For ages 9 and 10yr olds - (A league age 8yr old or 11yr old may be permitted by league approval, must come to evaluations)

12U-BB (Baseball - Kid Pitch)

For ages 11 and 12yr olds - (A league age 10yr old or 13yr old may be permitted by league approval, must come to evaluations).

Players learn to how to lead off and perform pick offs

A player who is league age 13 and is playing on a middle school or travel team will not be eligible for this division. A League age 12 player playing middle school or travel is eligible to play in this division.

MS/HS SMMR-BB (Baseball - Middle/High School Summer League)

For ages 13, 14 and 15yr olds - (A league age 12yr old or 16yr old may be permitted by league approval, must come to evaluations.)

Field Configuration - Players pitch from 60ft-6ins and Bases are set at 90ft.

Division will be played using Middle School dimensions and equipment rules, including ball and bat requirements.

Season begins early June through mid July.

A minimum of 4 teams are needed for this division to happen. If there are not enough players registered players will be refunded their registration fee.

Coaches who are interested in starting a team should contact the WNCYSA no later than April 01, 2024. You may bring six players to start your team, players will be drafted from the player pool to bring each team up to a maximum of 12 players.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EVALUATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION DUE TO SAFETY AND/OR SEASON TIME CONSTRAINTS

Asheville Adult Baseball League (18+)

For ages 18 and older.

Players can not be playing or committed to any division college team.

This is not a softball league!

12-15 players per team.

League will host a player draft for new players in Mid-May.

Division will be played utilizing MSBL and AABL rule guidelines.

Wood Bat Only League.

Season begins the middle of June.

Games on Sundays and a Weekday (2 Games per week, typically)

Baseball Division Only.
