Bat Requirements

THE WNCYSA WILL KEEP THE USSSA STANDARD AND WILL ALSO ALLOW THE NEW "USA BAT STANDARD".

Although we do allow the USSSA standard bat requirements, we do not allow any 2 3/4" Barrel Bats. Follow the link below to see the USSSA bat standard rules for approved and non-approved bats.

Baseball 5U and 6U

The bat may not exceed 33"in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2¼" in diameter. Only 2¼" barrel non-wood bats marked USSSA BPF 1.15 or USA stamped will be allowed. Wood 2 ¼" barrel bats are allowed. NO 2 5/8" BARRELS ARE ALLOWED!

Baseball 8U, 10U and 12U

The bat may not exceed 33”in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5/8" in diameter. Only 2 5/8" or 2 1/4" barrel non-wood bats marked USSSA BPF 1.15 or USA stamped will be allowed. Wood 2 5/8” barrel bats are allowed. NO 2 3/4" BARRELS ARE ALLOWED!

Baseball 15U

The bat may not exceed 34" in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5/8" in diameter. Drop 5 and Drop 3 bats only. All aluminum/alloy barrel bats and all composite handle (only) aluminum/alloy barrels are allowed. Only composite barrel bats certified and marked BBCOR .50 will be allowed. Only 2 5/8" or 2 1/4" barrel non-wood bats marked USSSA BPF 1.15 or USA stamped will be allowed. NO 2 3/4" BARRELS ARE ALLOWED!

Softball 8U, 10U and 12U

The bat shall be no more than 33 inches in length, not more than 2 ¼” in diameter. Bats shall be printed with a BPF of 1.20.

Softball 15U

The bat shall meet all requirements set forth by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA). The bat barrel may not exceed 2 1/4" in diameter.
